Cristian has been working at The Waterfront for 3 years. Prior to joining the team, Cristian claims he barely knew anything about cocktails (which is pretty hard to believe when you see him in action; he’s obviously learnt a lot in three years!).
His knowledge and passion has grown and he loves it when he gets the opportunity to experiment with his colleagues at work and try new cocktails! Cristian’s appreciates the more ‘classic’ cocktails, and a favourite cocktail to make at The Waterfront is The Old Fashioned which is made with Bourbon, Angostura Bitters and Sugar. Cristian says that by far the most popular cocktail is The Pornstar Martini which is a blend of Vodka, Passoa, Lime Juice, Pineapple Juice, Passionfruit, Vanilla Syrup and a Shot of Prosecco! It’s definitely a photogenic one, that’s for sure. Coming in a close second, Cristian’s customers love a classic Mojito.
Cristian says his favourite cocktail memory is when they first made and tasted a Manhattan Cocktail at The Waterfront. A Manhattan is a blend of whiskey, sweet vermouth, and bitters, garnished with that all important cherry!
Most days for Cristian are really busy, especially in the Summer months. His routine mainly consist of a lot of preparation and cleaning to ensure the bar is as organised as possible. He takes pride in serving customers in a really professional manner. Cristian feels he works with a great, professional team at The Waterfront who work well together to motivate each other. We’re certainly lucky to have him!
